How to stream simultaneously on Reactive and Instagram

To stream simultaneously on Reactive and Instagram you can use Restream.io. Restream is a live broadcasting software that allows you to stream simultaneously to multiple destinations.

1. Create a Restream account

Go to Restream.io and create an account

2. Connect Reactive to Restream

3. Connect Instagram to Restream

Live Streaming is currently not officially supported outside of the Instagram mobile application. To connect Instagram to Restream you will need an RTMP URL and Stream key for your Instagram account. You can use Yellow Duck to log in to Instagram and get your RTMP URL and Stream Key. Yellow Duck is an application that allows you to go live on Instagram from your Mac or Windows machine.

1. Install Yellow Duck

2. Log in to Yellow Duck with your Instagram account credentials.

3. Each Instagram Stream Key is valid for one session only so update the Instagram Stream key every time you go live!

   Note: Restream or Instagram do not endorse Yellow Duck. Use it at your own risk.

   

   

4. To configure the Instagram destination in Restream, go to your Restream home page and select Add Destination.

   

5. Select Custom RTMP from the Platforms menu

6. Enter the stream key and RTMP URL from Yellow Duck into the Custom RTMP form

7. Select Add Channel, and Close to return to the Restream home page

4. Go Live

1. Open Yellow Duck and select "Start Broadcasting"

   Note: The Instagram stream key is valid for only for a short time, so start the Restream stream within a couple of minutes after clicking "Start Broadcast" on Yellow Duck. Generate a new key from Yellow Duck at the start of each broadcast.

   

2. Open Restream and select "Start with Studio"

   

3. Select Go Live

   

4. Open Reactive and select "Go Live"

   

5. The live stream from Restream will now be seen on Reactive and Instagram
